Rest . . . what a fleeting and valuable resource; yes, rest is free, but for those that find it, it’s priceless. Since the days when Jesus walked the earth, it’s obvious that there has been a high value placed on making time to rest and to pray.
At Pastors Retreat Network we hold fast to the “high value” of rest that Jesus exemplified. Having served more than 6000 pastors since 1997 we believe that we have learned a lot about rest over the years, things that we like to pass along every chance that we get.
As many already know, Pastors Retreat Network exists to create uninterrupted space for pastors and spouses to come away and enjoy an extended time of quiet rest where the only noise they will hear is the voice of God and one another.
Nestled in tranquil locations in Wisconsin, Texas and Ohio, Pastors Retreat Network lives to serve the church and its pastors.
In 2009 our retreat sites were fully booked early in the year. We are thankful that the word has circulated and pastors are hearing the Spirit of God calling them away for these essential times of reflection and restoration.
In 2010 Pastors Retreat Network is launching a new approach to ministry; something that we’ve added to help preserve and ensure the ongoing health and well being of the very organization that exists to serve the church.
Beginning in January 2010 Pastors Retreat Network will begin asking pastors to help share in the cost of each retreat. The five-day retreat, complete with superb accommodations and wonderful meals is being offered for the low cost of $495 per week, per pastor or pastor couple.
The $495 cost sharing is about one third of the total cost for each retreat, and it includes everything we provide. We are thankful that the Lord is beginning to rise up donors, primarily churches and individuals, who make it possible for us to keep the cost sharing so incredibly low.
For those of you who have been fortunate enough to experience a retreat through Pastors Retreat Network, please know that nothing has changed. The same wonderful, settings, food and surroundings are still available and waiting for your arrival.
