The Bethany Retreat is a non-academic, self-directed immersion into the classic spiritual disciplines. Participate in the following program components as the Holy Spirit leads and meet God in a powerful way.

• Optional private or common Morning and Evening Prayer
• The art of Sacred Reading
• Scripture readings from the psalms and epistles on a spiritual discipline
• Classical and contemporary Christian readings on a spiritual discipline
• Read, pray, nap, walk, talk, play, meditate, or simply enjoy the view
• Contemplate, journal or discuss the day’s experiences
  

The spiritual disciplines create an environment in which the Holy Spirit can gently reshape and strengthen the spiritual life of the pastor. The modern term for this work of the Spirit is Spiritual Formation. The Bethany Retreat is designed to facilitate Spiritual Formation through couple interaction as well as private devotional time. Here you will deepen your commitment to God, your spouse and your ministry.
