General Release
We trust that you will enjoy your time with Pastors Retreat Network(“PRN”). We want your time to be a safe one as well. As is always the case, common sense and prudence are your best guidelines for insuring safety. Release From Liability, Indemnification and Assumption of Risk
In consideration of being allowed the use of PRN facilities, and the services offered and provided by, and/or received from it, of all description, including books, brochures and reading materials and being given access to the quarters,grounds, the equipment and all other facilities of PRN, ("the Premises"), the undersigned (including the personal representatives, successors, heirs and assigns of the undersigned), agrees as follows:
1. I HEREBY RELEASE PRN, its officers, directors, employees or agents, ("the Releasees") from all liability, claims, demands and possible causes of action that may accrue from any property damage, personal injury, death, or other loss, including psychological, emotional, and/or, spiritual loss or damage, that I may incur while I am discussing personal issues, counseling directly, or indirectly through contacts and/or suggestions made through books, brochures or other materials received , or upon, entering or departing from the Premises, from any cause whatsoever, including without limitation the failure of anyone to properly advise or counsel, enforce rules and regulations, failure to make inspections, or the negligence of any other persons, and including injuries, damages or losses that may develop or be discovered in the future;
2. I HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the Releasees from all liability, claims, demands and possible causes of action that may accrue from any property damage, personal, emotional, psychological, or spiritual injury, death, or other loss caused by my acts or omissions, whether negligent or intentional, while I am upon, entering or departing from the Premises, and including injuries damages or losses that may develop or be discovered in the future;
3. I understand that certain risks and dangers are inherent in the retreat, personal counseling, recreational activities available to me on the Premises (including hiking, swimming, fishing, jogging, or any other activities undertaken for the purpose of discussion, counseling, exercise, relaxation or pleasure) and I participate in any such activities voluntarily and in reliance, not on the personnel, property, equipment, facilities and existing conditions furnished by PRN and/orothers, but upon my own judgment and ability, and therefore, I HEREBY ASSUME ALL RISK for property damage, personal injury, death, or other loss I incur while engaged in any such activities, from any cause whatsoever and whether or not attributable to the negligence of others;
4. I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE that I have read and understand this document and AGREE that I will abide by the terms and rules of PRN;
5. I understand that guests of PRN five-day retreats are to be employed in full-time pastoral Christian ministry.
PRN’s authorization to provide its services is obtained by way of your electronic signature. Once submitted, this electronic order constitutes an electronic letter of agency, for both you and your spouse, authorized by your electronic signature in accordance with specific terms and conditions. PRN's reliance on your electronic signature, as obtained herein, was specifically sanctioned and written into law when the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act ("UETA") and the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Transactions Act ("E-Sign") were enacted in 1999 and 2000, respectively. Both laws specifically preempt all state laws that recognize only paper records or handwritten signatures.
